Obama Cup 2020 Workshop Series will feature four(4) workshops in the week leading up to the tournament. Our partners, including Generation Kenya – Soft Skills Training; Emerging Leaders Foundation – Values-based Leadership in Sport; Project Management Institute Kenya Chapter – Skills for Life Introduction to Project Management and Bena Care Kenya – Health and Wellness for Sportspeople will facilitate the co-events. Through the workshops, we aim to improve employability, leadership skills and general well-being of participants.
Emerging Leaders Foundation (ELF) is an African youth centred non-profit organisation that provides practical, values-based leadership development, mentorship, governance and livelihoods training to promising young Africans so that they can become positive agents of sustainable social, economic and political transformation in society. ELF exists to increase the participation of young men and women in governance and policy processes to promote dignity in the community through increased accountability and service delivery on the part of duty bearers. We believe that when youth are equipped with the relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies, they begin to participate more strategically and productively in leadership and governance processes. EFL has partnered with FFA to conduct a Values-based Leadership in Sports workshop that aims to equip participants with leadership skills and set them on their way to becoming leaders in the sports industry and beyond.
