Our partners, including Generation Kenya – Soft Skills Training; Emerging Leaders Foundation – Values-based Leadership in Sport; Project Management Institute Kenya Chapter – Skills for Life Introduction to Project Management and Bena Care Kenya – Health and Wellness for Sportspeople will facilitate the co-events. Soft Skills Training by Generation Kenya
Monday 27th January 2020 – 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
Generation is one of the world’s most extensive demand-driven youth employment programs, providing young adults with the opportunity to launch successful careers and change their life trajectories. As a global non-profit, Generation was founded by McKinsey & Company with the vision of availing a career-launching job for every young person, anywhere in the world. The program is active in 13 countries to date, with plans to expand to a few more countries this year.
In a span of four years, Generation Kenya has trained over 17,000 candidates across five different industries. 82% of them have been placed in meaningful employment with our 400+ employer partners, through the funding support of USAID, McKinsey & Company, Swedish International Development Agency (Sida), IKEA Foundation Safaricom Foundation and the partnership of over 40 TVET institutions. Our candidate profile is one of the marginalised groups, with 70% of our graduates having a grade C or below and 57% of our graduates being female.
Values-based Leadership by Emerging Leaders Foundation

Emerging Leaders Foundation (ELF) is an African youth centred non-profit organisation that provides practical, values-based leadership development, mentorship, governance and livelihoods training to promising young Africans so that they can become positive agents of sustainable social, economic and political transformation in society. ELF exists to increase the participation of young men and women in governance and policy processes to promote dignity in the community through increased accountability and service delivery on the part of duty bearers. We believe that when youth are equipped with the relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies, they begin to participate more strategically and productively in leadership and governance processes. EFL has partnered with FFA to conduct a Values-based Leadership in Sports workshop that aims to equip participants with leadership skills and set them on their way to becoming leaders in the sports industry and beyond.
Project Management Skills for Life Training by PMI Kenya
Wednesday 29th January – Thursday 30th January 2020 – 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
Project Management Education Education Foundation (PMIEF) is the social-good arm of the Project Management Institute whose focus is to educate and support the youth and Non-governmental organisations with project management skills. PMI Kenya chapter, which is the local representative of PMI, has partnered with FFA to provide Project Management Skills for Life training. The training provides a basic understanding of project management concepts. In plain everyday words explains how a project manager and team can adequately define the project, organise the work, create a plan and work to a successful conclusion. The participants appreciate project management and start to develop the skills necessary to lead and manage successful initiatives.
Health and Wellness for Sportspeople by Bena Care Kenya
